Neptune's tokenomics are designed for long-term stability and sustainable network growth. Supply expands at a controlled pace, providing the network with a predictable monetary foundation as it grows. The network uses a three-phase emission model with smooth monthly reductions—starting at 6.8 coins per block and tapering over 72 generations before reaching a steady 1-coin tail emission. This gradual curve avoids supply shocks, keeps issuance pressure in check, and maintains strong miner incentives as inflation trends toward near zero, ensuring reliable security and a healthy economic foundation for the ecosystem over the long run.

The network is fully decentralized, open-source, and community governed. There were no pre-sales or private allocations. The premine was reduced by half, with 50% locked. Unlocked funds are reserved exclusively for long-term growth initiatives including ecosystem development, exchange listings, and strategic marketing.
The protocol introduces a faster block time to support scalability and prepare the network for future smart contract functionality. All supply beyond the coins migrated from NPT at launch is introduced solely through public mining. Locked legacy coins from the NPT network are not carried over.
